I modified a brownie recipe from Food.com to have healthier ingredients. It’s really difficult to find pre-made desserts that aren’t loaded with sugar and vegetable oil, so I often wind up making my own.
These brownies are made of all natural and organic ingredients, and are (almost) sugar-free. These are so healthy, they’re almost good for you.
They taste pretty good too. Not amazing, but pretty darn good considering how healthy they are. This is a dessert you can indulge in, (almost) guilt free.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup organic coconut oil
1 cup Stevia
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large organic eggs (or egg whites)
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/3 cup carob powder (can be found at Whole Foods)
1/2 cup organic whole wheat flour
Carob chips to sprinkle on top
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl, except the carob chips.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9 x 9 square pan.
- Sprinkle desired amount of carob chips on top.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Let cool before cutting, then enjoy!
