The holidays are right around the corner and I hate waiting till the last minute to do my shopping. So, I’m excited to share with you my first gift guide of the season. It’s getting chilly here in Chicago which means it’s time to break out my favorite over the knee boots. I’ve been wearing these Stuart Weitzman babies for five seasons straight now! They are a bit of a splurge, but the classic style is well worth it. Nearly five years later, Stuart Weitzman still sells the same style. The quality is unmistakeable and they’re also very comfortable. I’ll love these boots until they wear out – which won’t be anytime soon.
When fall comes around, I always find myself dreaming about new shoes. The good news is there are SO many fun pairs this season that won’t break the bank, including the Skechers that I’m wearing. Yes, those are Skechers! Keep reading for full details on this look and shop the best ankle boots under $100 at the end of this post.
Fall can be a challenging season for footwear. It feels wrong to wear sandals or open-toed shoes, but is it too soon for boots? My favorite shoes to wear for fall are loafers and flats. And to answer the question — boots are totally appropriate, especially ankle booties. However, if it’s not cold enough yet for boots, loafers are the perfect solution. Chicago weather has trouble making up its mind during fall, so I don’t want to be too warm in boots.
I spent last weekend at PoshFest, which is Poshmark’s annual conference. This year, it was held in Chicago and I was fortunate to be invited as a guest of RXBar. I just recently made my first Poshmark sale (shop my Poshmark closet here), so I felt a little out of place amongst all of the amazing ladies who have sold tons of items and some who even re-sell clothes full-time. But, it was a fun and inspiring weekend nonetheless. Read on for details on this look.
Fall is here and it’s time to start shopping! The coziest and prettiest textures for fashion and home come with this season. I’m actually trying to cut back on my shopping, so I’m just splurging on a few fun updates for my wardrobe and apartment – specifically shoes and pumpkins. Here’s everything that I plan on buying or have already bought. Most of the items are very affordable.
Recently, I went to an event where I was introduced to local Chicago handbag brand, Holly & Tanager. Their bags are sleek and functional, as all good bags should be. The Italian leather is top notch too. My favorite part is that it can be worn as either a cross body or a clutch – it’s two bags in one.
The weather is finally starting to cool down, indicating that fall is near. I wore pants last week for the first time in a couple of months! That’s ok because I’m getting tired of sweating and shaving my legs every day. I’ve linked my favorite fall transitional style items.
Fall has always been my favorite time of the year. New fashion, pumpkin spice, perfect weather. This is the first year that I actually won’t be going back to college since I graduated – mixed emotions. In any case, I’ve partnered with some amazing brands to show you how to kick off the school year/fall season in style.
