When the weather gets warmer, my skincare routine changes along with my wardrobe. It’s time to ditch heavy moisturizers and bring on lightweight multi-tasking products with SPF. Although I wear sunscreen year round, I was excited to try out some new innovative sun protection products as I spend a lot more time outdoors in the summer. I’ve also been searching for the perfect natural cleansing products that take off every layer of sunscreen, makeup, and sweat at the end of the day. Keep reading to learn about my favorites.
1) Suntegrity 5-in-1 Tinted Moisturizer + Face Primer BB Cream SPF 30. Out of all the sunscreen/makeup combo products I’ve tried over the years, this one is my absolute favorite. It’s a product that every woman should use and love. It really is the ultimate multi-tasking product – moisturizer, sunscreen, primer, and BB cream all in one. Usually I put on moisturizer before makeup, but with this I don’t have to. It really simplifies my morning routine. It’s a bit pricier than your average drug store find, but totally worth it. The ingredients are all natural and won’t cause breakouts, plus the founder created it specifically to help people avoid skin cancer.
2) Bioderma Micellar Water. Gone are the days where you have to use traditional greasy, gross makeup remover. If you haven’t heard, micellar water is the best new trend in all natural makeup remover. Originally popular in France, micellar water is basically water with tiny oil molecules that clean your skin without drying it out. I will seriously never go back to traditional makeup remover. I love that Bioderma makes three different variations. My favorite is the sensitive skin one. You don’t even have to rinse it off after.
3) Palmetto Derma Stay Clear! Nourishing Daily Cleanser. If you’re looking for a gentle and basic cleanser, this one is great. It’s fragrance free, natural, and doesn’t dry out my skin. I use it by itself in the morning and with my Foreo at night to really get all my makeup off.
4) COOLA Makeup Setting Spray SPF 30. Ok, so I always use SPF spray on my body because it’s so much easier and quicker. When I learned that there was a sunscreen spray made especially for your face, I had to give it a try. I really like to stash this product in my makeup bag for a hands-free way to reapply sunscreen throughout the day. I also love that it gives a matte finish.
