A couple days ago, I skipped class to get a custom made foundation from Lancôme at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago. Getting a one-of-a-kind blended foundation was much more important than my marketing class; no offense DePaul. Lancome has created a groundbreaking beauty experience which creates a foundation that is matched perfectly to your skin tone and type. I don’t think I can ever go back to using a generic shade.
My experience began with a consultation with one of Lancôme’s beauty experts. Then, my face was scanned in a few different areas to get my perfect shade. The amount of moisturizer was adjusted based on my skin type (oily). My scans were inputed into a computer, then my formula was blended right in front of me. It was pretty incredible.
Just the right amount of white, black, yellow, and red were mixed together. I had no idea there was black in my skin tone.
My foundation came complete with a custom label. This photo hasn’t been edited at all. The foundation really looks like a second skin. I haven’t used anything like it. It does a great job of reducing redness and evening my skin tone. It’s also really easy to blend.
There’s a complexion ID on my bottle, so it’s simple to get a refill.
I was also gifted more of Lancôme’s latest products. My favorite are these Juicy Shakers. They’re meant to look like cocktail shakers from the 40s, which were a symbol of glamour. The Juicy Shaker is a sheer lip tint with a cushion applicator. You can get as much color as you want, depending on how much you apply. All of them smell delicious and actually taste like candy.
Lancôme Le Teint Particulier Custom Made Foundation will be available exclusively at Nordstrom in August. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment to get your personalized formula. Thanks to Lancôme for allowing me to be one of the first to try this new technology.
