Back-to-school season is an excuse to try out new trends in fashion and beauty, even if you’re no longer a student. In a couple of weeks, I start my senior year of college. It will be my last first day of school. So, all the more reason to go a little overboard with BTS shopping. I’ve tried a lot of new beauty products recently and I want to share my favorites here with you.

While I’m not personally much of a festival-goer, I’m obsessed with YUNI Beauty’s Festival Kit. It comes with five products inside a cute little travel pouch. It’s a great value, especially since it’s currently on sale. The Muscle Recovery Gel is great after a tough workout. The Shower Sheets and No-Rinse Body Cleansing Foam are great if you don’t have time to shower after a workout or if you just don’t feel like showering. I’ve used dry shampoo for my hair, but I’ve never seen products that refresh your body too. This kit would be perfect for a camping trip if I was the camping type haha. YUNI is a brand that was created specifically for yoga and with the purpose of saving you time.
Hada Labo Tokyo is a Japanese skincare brand that offers lightweight and deeply hydrating anti-aging solutions. They’re available at Ulta, and if you don’t trust me, just check out the hundreds of rave reviews. Anti-aging products are usually very pricy, but these ones are surprisingly affordable. They have some great ingredients like Retinol, Collagen, and Hyaluronic Acid. I’ve loved all the products I tried from them including these:
Anti-Aging Hydrator: It’s lightweight, but very moisturizing – perfect in the morning as a base layer under makeup.
Skin Plumping Gel Cream: Extremely hydrating. Smoothes skin and fills in lines.
Ultimate Anti-Aging Facial Mask: My skin felt noticeably smoother after just one use.
Express Renewal Eye Mask: Absolutely my favorite of their products! It only takes 10 minutes and my under-eye bags nearly disappear.
MDSUN is another great skincare brand. Although a bit of a splurge, their products are totally worth it. Their Hydro-Recovery Mask has an impressive lineup of antioxidants and multivitamins to hydrate and repair sun damage and wrinkles.
If you aren’t using one already, I highly recommend adding a serum into your daily skincare routine. This Retionol Renewing Serum by KARYNG is great for reducing redness, which I naturally have a lot of. Use it at night since it contains retinol. In the morning, I use an MDSUN serum.
These beauty products were gifted to me, but all opinions are my own.
