Spring cleaning isn’t just for your wardrobe or dirty apartment. Surely your beauty cabinet could use a cleanse too. I’ve been trying out a ton of products recently and I’m excited to share some of my favorite new finds with you. Out with the old and in with the new.
1) YourGoodSkin is a new brand that I have been absolutely loving. The skincare range is powered by Vitamin C, Green Tea & Japanese Lily Turf designed to restore and maintain skin’s natural balance. Oh and did I mention all of their products are super affordable – under $20 and conveniently available at Walgreens. The products feel high-end but come at drugstore prices.
My favorites so far are the Balancing Skin Concentrate (on sale for $15) which is like a serum followed by the SPF 30 Antioxidant Day Cream (on sale for $10!!!). It’s the perfect all-in-one sunscreen moisturizer to wear under makeup. I’ll be picking up more products to try the next time I’m at Walgreens. If you’re looking to try a new skincare brand that won’t break the bank, this is it. Shop the full line here.
2) The e.l.f. X Christian Siriano collaboration is such fun for spring. The packaging is gorgeous and the feminine colors make me smile. My favorite item is the Tinted Lip Oil. It’s a soft semi-sheer pink shade and very moisturizing – the perfect lippie for a fresh-faced makeup look.
3) Makeup Forever’s new Ultra HD Perfector is a cross between a lightweight foundation and tinted moisturizer. It provides medium coverage, but won’t weigh you down. And it has SPF 25. If you’re looking for a lighter foundation for spring/summmer, you should try this stuff out. The Ultra HD Soft Light is the perfect subtle highlighter to dab on your cheekbones. I love the shimmering Pink Pearl shade pictured here.
4) MAC’s palettes are always good. If you want a fresh one for spring, I recommend checking out their new line of ‘Girls’ palettes. There are seven different versions – one for every personality. I’m currently using the Risk Taker. I actually love playing with pink shades on my lids.
Are you doing any spring cleaning – of your beauty collection or elsewhere? Leave a comment and let me know.
