Welcome to my 2019 gift guide! Would I even be a real blogger if I didn’t put together a list of stuff that I tell you to buy and get a small commission back if you do? But this isn’t just any gift guide. I’ve included plenty of gifts that are very affordable but still look fancy, plus some un-gift like gifts at the end. Then, there are some splurgier items because I actually do like to buy some people nice gifts.
First, I’ll share my top choices – things I already own or that are on my own wish list (hint hint). Then, if you want to keep reading I’ve split the rest of the gift ideas into categories.
Top Picks
(left to right from gif above)
Pom pom slippers: I own these and every time people come over they ask where they’re from and I’m like 12 bucks on Amazon. So that made me think they would be a good gift. They come in a bunch of other colors too.
Leopard print pajamas: I love giving nice pajamas as a gift and I think Victoria’s Secret has the cutest sets.
The coolest travel makeup/toiletry bag: This is less than $30 on Amazon and gets rave reviews. It’s on my wish list. I love that it has slots for makeup brushes. Also comes in other colors.
Rebecca Minkoff shoulder bag: I think this bag is so fun if you’re looking for more of a splurge gift. Rebecca Minkoff has lots of great styles this season.
$35 rose gold knife set: I own this knife set and it looks very fancy but no one would know it’s only $35 on Amazon. Now you know. The knives cut great and I love that it’s not the typical bulky knife set – barely takes up any room on the counter. This would be the perfect gift for a new homeowner or even a college student.
Fun hair clips: I love this trend and it makes for the best affordable stocking stuffer for your gal pals.
Rose gold suitcase: I need a new suitcase and found this pretty one on Amazon. It’s reasonably priced at $120. I also love CALPAK bags.
For Her
Shopbop has some really great holiday gifts. A cozy scarf or earmuffs is always an easy gift. I love Hat Attack’s winter accessories. And I just discovered Nunoo bags – they’re so cute and reasonably priced.
Here I am wearing the $12 Amazon slippers!

Untraditional Gifts
I’ve been a Rent the Runway Unlimited member for almost three years now. I can’t imagine life without my constant rotation of new designer clothes and accessories. A Rent the Runway gift card would make a great gift for that woman on your list who you never know what to get. Or treat yourself to an unlimited holiday wardrobe. You can use my code RTRALLIEB to get $100 off your first two months ($50 off each month). You can also read all about my RTR experience here.
Give yourself or anyone on your list a gift that will actually save you money – check out my favorite personal finance books. If you want a personalized gift, a fully customized bobblehead that looks like him or her from Cheap Bobbleheads would be perfect.
