I’m sort of embarrassed to admit that even though I’ve been living in Chicago for three years, I’ve only recently visited the Art Institute. Museums aren’t typically my cup of tea, but I really enjoyed the Van Gogh exhibit. I recommend stopping by before the exhibit leaves in May.
A relaxing Sunday spent exploring the city called for a comfortable, but polished look. I opted for a take on the dressed up sweats trend. These denim Sunrise Sweat Pants from Allison Izu are so comfortable, but still chic.
At a height of 5’3,” I often find it challenging to find clothes -especially pants- that are the right length. It seems like most jeans are made to fit super tall models. Naturally, I was excited to try out these pants from Allison Izu – a brand that specializes in elevated basics for women 5’6” and shorter. I love that this style is a cross between jeans and sweats. They’re lightweight and perfect for summer. I can’t wait to pair them with crop tops and sandals when the weather warms up. Want to try these pants on in person? Allison Izu is now being sold at Von Maur stores in Illinois!
I paired my sweats with a shimmery tee and oversized sweater. Snakeskin flats dress up the look and a pink bag adds a pop of color.
Shop: pants courtesy of Allison Izu, sweater courtesy of AMI Clubwear (on sale for $12!), Topshop tee and flats, Longchamp bag
