ba&sh dress | Target loafer mules | Kendra Scott necklace
Photography is probably the most important part of blogging (or fashion blogging at least). I mean without photos what the heck would I post here? It’s also one of the most stressful parts of blogging – in my opinion. I work with a professional photographer here in Chicago so I can be sure that my outfit photos are high quality. And I’m kind of lost when I don’t have a professional to pose and direct me. I’m a blogger, not a model. And even though I’ve been doing this for more than seven years now, I still don’t know what to do with my hands or face in photos! Sometimes I have my boyfriend or a friend take my photos but most of those end up looking mediocre. It’s hard work. I still do a lot of my own photography for flatlays of products and selfies on Instagram. I actually took a couple of photography classes in college and I know my way around a camera.
Over the years, I’ve found that by far the most important element of good photos is the lighting. This can be especially tricky to get right when I’m at indoor events or restaurants that have very dim lighting. I typically just use my phone (iPhone 7 Plus) to take photos at events. I was recently gifted a LuMee light up iPhone case and it has seriously changed the game. Read on to learn more about LuMee and of course get details on this outfit – including my favorite new $22 mules.
The LuMee Duo case has LED lighting on the front and back that can be turned on and off with the press of a button. The case is also very durable and protective.
This fun wrap dress is perfect for a warm day. It’s available at Rent the Runway or Neiman Marcus.
These mules are from Target. I repeat – Target, not Gucci. They’re only $22.99, but look so much more expensive. They’re also crazy comfortable. Get them here before the sell out.
LuMee comes in so many fun designs including this pretty gradient one that I chose. I love the white marble version too.
