Packing for trips is always a challenge especially when it’s for more than a few days. I love Rent the Runway for travel but I had to purchase some new things for this vacation since I needed to bring much more than the four items in my Unlimited subscription.
For a cruise, you have to bring casual daytime outfits and swim suits plus additional clothes to wear for dinnertime since there’s a dress code in the dining room. I tried to bring as many versatile pieces as possible that I could dress up or down. However, it was so hot during the days that I ended up having to shower and change before dinner so I went through a lot of clothes.
I hadn’t been on a real relaxing vacation in probably a decade. This was such a nice getaway while it was snowing back in Wisconsin.
Here’s what I packed:
This lemon swim suit was $9 on Amazon. Yep, I bet you read that twice. I’m so glad one pieces have taken over now because they’re so much comfier. And I love that you can just pull on a pair of shorts over a one piece suit and it acts like your top. I didn’t bring a single bikini on the trip.
Comfy t-shirts are a must for me when traveling.
These shorts are from Abercrombie. Ok, so I hadn’t shopped at Abercrombie since middle school but kept seeing other bloggers wearing cute stuff from there recently. I wanted some new denim shorts because I didn’t have any that I liked. Abercrombie was the only place I could find affordable shorts that were both high-waisted and longer in inseam. I ended up loving this pair and another that’s an even longer length.
This Rebecca Taylor jumpsuit was my favorite piece that I packed. I love all things linen. I planned on wearing this jumpsuit for day and night – it’s such a versatile piece. But then I got way too sweaty walking around Puerto Rico.
The Jetset Diaries maxi dress (it’s connected in the back!)
Sea New York tie dye dress. I love everything this brand makes and you know by now that long sleeve dresses are my jam.
