Charming Charlie shirt (dress version), boots, and necklace (only $15!) | Gap jeans | Henri Bendel bag
I tend to wear darker colors in the winter. I’m not sure why. I think it’s just easier to match with my warm coats and boots. However, I like things that have fun details that stand out even when it’s freezing outside. I instantly fell in love with the puffy gingham sleeves on this comfy t-shirt. The gingham trend might be on its way out, but this top is still so fun. Embroidered boots are another fun trend this season.
Most of this look including my top, boots, and necklace were gifted to me from Charming Charlie. The brand is one of my go-tos for affordable, trendy pieces. I’m always impressed by the quality of the things I order, despite the cheap prices.
As always, keep reading for more details and shopping at the end of this post.
I just got rid of a pair of black ankle boots that I had worn to death so this pair is a welcome update. They’re just as versatile but have a little pop of color. Just enough heel to be a little dressy, but still comfortable. This exact pair still available in some sizes here. They’re only $39! But I’ve linked a bunch of very similar styles below.
This bag is one of my favorites. It’s a great size and goes with everything. This color is no longer available but it comes in a bunch of others and is on sale for only $120! Shop here.
Layered necklace available here
I did this photoshoot in just a few minutes on a balcony at the Conrad Chicago. Then, I ran inside to warm up. That’s about as close as I’ll get to an outdoor shoot during the winter. Way too cold!
