This week I attended a fashion show at Neiman Marcus to see Lafayette 148‘s new fall collection. I didn’t make it to Fashion Week in New York, but I didn’t need to because I got to see a gorgeous collection walk down the runway right here in Chicago. I had so much fun getting dressed up to attend the show. I even took the day off work!
Lafayette 148 Fallingwater Collection
Lafayette 148’s latest collection is inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater House. I can understand why because the designs have architectural elements and lots of texture. You know by now that I love texture.
I wore this silk drop-waist dress from the collection. The built-in scarf/neck tie at the collar adds a special detail. It’s the perfect desk to dinner dress. I love this print but it also comes in velvet. Swoon. All of the pieces from the Fallingwater collection are very versatile including this dress. I’ll be pairing it with over-the-knee boots for winter.
I accessorized with a ladylike Loeffler Randall bag and minimal bracelet from Rustic Cuff.
And white booties from last year because they really do go with everything and add a little pop to a neutral look. These ones are by Sam Edelman, but find a similar pair here. I may need a new pair because these ones are getting pretty beat up.
I’m also linking some of my favorite pieces from the collection below. The jackets and coats really stood out to me. I would invest in one statement leather jacket to wear all season and for years to come. I loved browsing the collection in person at Neiman Marcus because I could see that everything is incredibly well-made with great attention to detail.
Do you love this collection? Let me know in a comment!
